From Beginner to Expert, Scottish Fiddle players compete for honors on Saturday.  Volunteers assist competitors and judges at the director of the Fiddle Chairs. Knowledge of Scottish Fiddle is not necessary but is a plus.

There are also workshops and a Fiddle Rally on Sunday.  

Got muscles? Want to put that time at the gym to use?  Strong men and women needed!  The athletes throw the stones, cabers and stone puts but someone has to retrieve them!  We need you!!!!

Volunteers on the field will retrieve heavy thrown objects! You must be approved for this position before you can sign up! Others will act as gatekeepers and still get to see everything up close!

Knowledge of the competitions is not necessary but staying alert and following directions is extremely important for everyone's safety!

Everyone wants their favorite team t-shirt or special item to take home from the Games!  If you are able to work in a fast-paced environment, want to meet dedicated fans and enjoy working with public and sales - this might just be your opportunity!  

Major perk to this job?  You will work in a tent immediately adjacent to the athletic competitions and the athletes!!!!!

Be energetic, be athletic, be able to be on your feet for the whole shift, maintain a kind and friendly manner, be able to handle busy times, assist children and parents, and want to have some fun!  Enjoy working with children of all ages.

We need a couple of camera savvy people to check our amazing volunteers in action!  

This opportunity will allow you to visit with as many volunteers as you can, snap pics of them hard at work and having fun throughout the weekend. At the end of each day, a group volunteer picture at the standing stone will be captured as well.

Our goal for this mission is to show as many people as possible how truly amazing our volunteers are.  

These pictures and videos will be for NHSCOT use only and cannot be shared on personal social media sites.

The backbone of the Games - this crew works throughout the grounds making certain all is as it should be.  Included activities may be be moving tables, chairs, tent sides, and equipment needed for competitions.  Ability to lift 50 pounds.  Ability to stand for long periods of time, assist with crowd control, maintain a kind and friendly demeanor, follow directions in emergency situations, and work well with others.  This is a team of people who depend on every person doing their job to the fullest!

WE need people to greet visitors and scan and sell gate tickets.  Volunteers work in two locations with a user-friendly computerized system.  This is a busy job at times, especially at the opening of each day then slows down throughout the day.  The ability to stand for long periods is helpful, although the opportunity can be done while sitting.  Your greeting and demeanor sets the tone for the day.  Join this team today!!!!

Be a Highland Dance steward and assist the Highland Dance Chair with tasks from marshalling dancers to organizing paperwork - all tasks that are integral for the competition to go smoothly.  Competitions happen on Saturday and Sunday.

Knowledge of Highland Dance is not necessary but is a definite plus.  Ability to listen and follow directions is key!

We need a few volunteers who we can send to an area that needs help.  It might be that someone did not arrive on time, that the area is busier than we expected, there are multiple reasons for this needed position.  So having a few volunteers who can serve as fill-ins, runners or cover lunch periods is essential!  Don't know what you want to do - this position might just be right up your alley!  

Questions galore!  From directing guests to seminar locations, to answering questions about the youth program, and so much more, our volunteers field questions all day long!  The Information Tent is located near to the main entrance and is always a hub of activity!  Our team of dedicated volunteers need help!

Don't know too much about the Games - no worries we will provide you with all the information you need and work right alongside you as you gain experience!

Need to love working with people and being able to work in a fast-paced environment.  Need more information about this opportunity - just ask!

Have you seen NHSCOT's Kelpies?  Two fun loving people are needed to be the Kelpies! (Costumes do not cover head) and another 2 additional people to help guide our marvelous Kelpies through the crowds.  Think of Disney World people escorting the characters! 

You need to be outgoing, friendly, social, work with all ages and willing to be in photos.  Photo ops will be a huge piece of this, so plan to smile

Bring your muscles and help as we begin to set up for the Games.  To help out on this day you must be able to lift items that may weight up to 40lbs. 

Please help us with loading the rental truck at our office and storage in Concord.  Our office is jammed packed with most of the items needed to make the games a success and need to be loaded onto the truck.  

Many hands make light work.  

It's time to unpack the Truck and spread it across the Mountain.

We need helping also with setting up tables and chairs in the Membership Tent and Concert Tent.

You will feel the excitement in the air and start off Games! 

We need people to help feed our hungry volunteers!!!!  You will sort the lunches so each location receives a variety of sandwiches, count and recount to ensure all volunteers are able to eat, and then deliver box lunches to each location. Locations and number will be provided to you each day.

This is definitely a job where everyone loves to see you arrive!!!!

Our volunteer hospitality staff ensure the members, VIP's, sponsors and special NHSCOT guests have a wonderful experience. Hospitality volunteers check in members and sponsors, check for proper credentials to member areas, and hand out membership packets.  The goal is to provide a warm and welcoming experience. Like to work with and meet people?  Consider being part of the hospitality team!

The tent is located right in the middle of things, so there is never a dull moment!  You can count on being busy and meeting lots of people! Come join the team! You will need to be able to multi-task and like talking to people!

Welcome to the Pipe and Drumming World!!! 

Volunteers help to check in competitors, crowd control, and assist competitors and judges. Assist with running score sheets to assigned areas. 

Listen to amazing music that will fill the grounds with the livelihood tradition that the games are known for!!  Knowledge of the pipes and drums is a bonus but not necessary.  

We need confident, outgoing volunteers with friendly personalities to sell raffle tickets.  Volunteers will be walking the grounds in pairs selling tickets!  A high-energy fundraising role focused on engaging event attendees to purchase tickets. The tickets will be sold all weekend, and the winner will be announced on Sunday!

Must be comfortable with handling money, crowds, and working with people.

It's time for race to begin and we need volunteers at our Royal (Multi) Mile Race!!!!

This opportunity will need volunteers to assist the runners before the race with registration, during the race handing out water to thirsty runners, and after the race with break down. 

It's Concert Time!!!

We need responsible volunteers who will help with crowd control and scan tickets. Team leader will direct assignments.

Greet and assist concert goers by providing information as well as keeping a safe environment. Able to work in a loud environment.

The major bonuses of this position is ........ Pizza for supper before you start and then seeing great performances and music and havin fun while working!!!

From beginner students to open class harpists, competitors perform for top honors in their classes or levels.  Assist the chief steward in organizational tasks, paperwork and other tasks that maybe needed.  Knowledge of Scottish Harp is not necessary.

We have lots of people who present sessions at the Games each year.  We need people who can be at each session to make sure all is well and to troubleshoot or get help if something goes wrong.  Where do you find an extension cord?  Need more chairs?  When is the next session?  

Cooking Seminars will need to have volunteers who are tech savvy and can run the Square for cookbook sales. We will train you of course!

The Games are over, the crowds have gone home but the job is still not over! We need able-bodied people to help fold up chairs, take down signs, and pack up everything!  It takes a Clan MacCrew to get it all done!  Are you game to help out the NHSCOT Staff?

Welcome and greet the volunteers, assist the Volunteer Coordinator, confirm assignments, confirm shifts, answer questions, distribute name tags, assist with lunches, and most importantly hand out the annual, amazing, much anticipated MacCrew T-shirt!

Welcome the Clans to the Village!!!  At the Village info tent welcome the guests in a kind and friendly manner, help direct them to their Clan, answer questions regarding Clans and Scottish heritage and more, work with the Clan Chair and assist where needed.

This ever popular tent sees a lot of people!  Assist with set up and breakdown, check ID's, scan and/or sell tickets, greet guests in a kind and friendly manner, assist vendors if needed.

You must be 21 or older for this position.

Volunteers serve as door keepers to control entry to each class. Each ticket holder must present their ticket and show an ID. You will likely assist the distillery staff with the set up and clearing before and after each session.

Classes are Fri at 12pm & 2pm. This will be one shift and must arrive at least 1/2 hour before first shift

Sat at 12pm, 2pm, & 4pm. This can be one or two shifts and must arrive at least 1/2 hour before shift

Our guests love to try many different things!  Try to play a bagpipe, lift a stone, flourish tenor drumsticks, and more.  Volunteers greet guests and assist the presenter with equipment.  Program director will provide all needed information to you and presenter.

Some classes require waivers to be signed, kept and handed in at the end of every shift.  This is extremely important for everyone to remember. 

You will be working directly with people and standing for long periods of time.
